Born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, Patrik Hoesch instead of Patrik Hoesch from Basel (Switzerland) started the trumpet play by self-instruction at the age of 13. At the age of 21, he completed 6 semesters at the Jazz School Basel, instructed by Thomas Möckel. In July 1993 for the first time Patrik visited the Jazz Festival in New Orleans. This experience remains unforgettable for him and has inspired him to pursue the love of New Orleans Jazz. His role models (or inspirations) are Wynton Marsalis, Nicholas Payton as well as - by today's contact care Leroy Jones. Patrik’s appearances include as guest player the Euro Town Center Jazz Volume, the Hurricane Brass Band from Maastricht and the Nils Lindvall Quintet. Further more he is a band member of the Castle Groove Festival Brass Band, the Aix Dixie Connection and the Cover Band "Playday". In addition he played from 1999-2001 in the Music Association "Musikverein Efringen-Kirchen". As well as various appearances at the New Orleans Jazz Festival Ascona, Eschweiler Music Festival, Düsseldorfer Kneipenrally, Lichtensteiger Jazztage, Em Bebbi sy Jazz, Jazz in Aachen, Em Bebbi sy Jazz in Basel, Jazz in Lenk, a.o.
